Emmy Fashion 2013

I can't remember the last time I actually watched The Emmy Awards, however, it was a welcome addition to a rainy Sunday at home. NPH wasn't bad and I appreciated Jane Lynch's honest and touching tribute to an old friend of my husband and I. However, my favorite part of any awards show is the fashion. So, here are my picks for the best and worst dressed at the 2013 Emmy Awards.
My 10 Best (in no particular order):

Claire Danes in a beautiful antique-lace Armani Prive gown.
Elisabeth Moss in Andrew Gn. She often looks so mousey on Mad Men, so it was a real treat to see Moss sporting an edgy blond bob with her classy black and white gown.
Kaley Cuoco looking impeccable in Vera Wang.
Kerry Washington in Marchesa. The off-white looks beautiful over Washington's skin while the trailing flowers add a gorgeous touch of whimsy.
Kieren Shipka in Delpozo. This floral-embroidered dress is absolutely perfect and age-appropriate.

Kit Harington rocking a fabulous three-piece suit. I love the satin collar and tie.
Sarah Hyland in a wonderfully vampy emerald green CH by Carolina Herrera gown.
Carla Gugino in a George Chakra dress that shows just enough skin to be both a little daring and very elegant.
Sofia Vergara is always a favorite for me and did not disappoint in this sexy Vera Wang number.
Tina Fey in Narciso Rodriguez. The colour and cut are perfectly flattering on Fey.
Best Dressed Couple:

Jon Hamm in Armani and Jennifer Westfeldt in J. Mendel.

Best Pregnant Style:

Morena Baccarin looking radient in Alexander McQueen.
My 10 Worst:
Aubrey Plaza in Marios Schwab. This would have fallen into the 'meh' category, but the random flowers pushed Ms. Plaza into my picks for worst dressed.
Emily Deshchanel in a terribly unflattering Houghton gown, likely from their seniors collection.
January Jones wearing an old, unflattering doily (Givenchy)
Julianna Hough in Jenny Packham. Granny panties...never appropriate red carpet attire.
Julie Bowen in Halston Heritage. Too much, just waaaay too much...of everything.
Lena Dunham in Prada. Altogether, too much fabric on Lena.
Lily Rabe in Vionnet. No words, just bad.
Julianna Margulies in Reed Krakoff. It's just a sad white tube with ink splatters.

Zosia Mamet in Honor. This dress would have been really pretty and an interesting departure from most of the other red carpet gowns had it not been for the white and black neck to boob attachment. WTF??
Amanda Peet in something awful. She ties with Zosia for worst of the worst.
Bonus: Gowns from space

Cat Deeley in Armani. I want to like this because it is daring, but the hip-dome just isn't working for me and reminds me of something likely seen in The Fifth Element.

Heidi Klum in Versace. I would have loved it without the strange neck to boob attachment (yet another!!) which just ruined it for me.
