The Long Weekend!

Here in British Columbia, we have a long weekend this weekend! I am so excited and will try to to take full advatage of my three-day weekend to relax, spend time with my husband, dog and friends and take in some of the great activities that are going on in Vancouver including:

• checking out the Illuminares Lantern Festival along the Coal Harbour Seawall

• watching the first of the Celebration of Light fireworks competition

• watching my first Pride Parade. I always missed it when we lived in Victoria as I am often out of town for the long weekend. However, I am in home this time and hear that the Vancouver Pride Parade is a must-see event

• go fashion spotting with my husband Will. Will runs a street-style blog called The Style Butcher and we will be taking to the streets of Vancouver to find the city's most fashionable and fun residents.
